Winnie-the-Pooh Horror Movie Trailer Must Be Seen To Be Believed

It’s definitely not your father’s Winnie-the-Pooh.

The first trailer has hit the web for the horror movie Winnie-the-Pooh and Boy, It’s Wild.

Title Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honeythe film is said to follow a wild bear cub and piglet as they run amok after Christopher Robin ditches them to go to college.

It’s also apparent from the trailer that a group of young women on vacation in the countryside reunite at the end of Pooh and Piglet’s violent spree.

For those wondering how this film can be, its existence was made possible by AA Milne’s 1926 children’s book Winnie-the-Pooh which entered the public domain in the United States earlier this year.

That said, Pooh and Piglet’s versions of Blood and Honey can’t resemble Disney’s interpretation of the characters who are still copyrighted, hence why the pair look so different in the teaser below.

Asked about it in an interview with Variety, the film’s writer-director Rhys Waterfield said, “No one is going to get it wrong. [for Disney].”

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey has no official release date but is said to be “coming soon” on DVD and video on demand.
