Which is a good movie? ‘Dog’ is a good movie – The Mesa Press

Actor Channing Tatum starred in the new movie “Dog,” which it recently premiered with 76% approval on “Rotten Tomatoes.” The movie starts out like any other military movie, showing you collages of footage from their tour while Ranger Briggs was on deployment with his team, like Grandma showing you the baby photo album from ‘old little sonny’. “Dog” gives you a perspective of what happens when servicemen return home and seek work in their field. For Army Ranger Briggs, played by Tatum, it wasn’t easy or quick. He would have liked to apply for a position in Washington DC as a security guard.

When he received a call from one of his superiors to report to base to collect his deceased friend’s belongings, he was set up with a job as a transport guard and told he had to take a K-9, Lulu, with him to the funeral to say goodbye. Briggs never expected to handle an “uncontrollable beast” given that they both served together and should have known each other already. The preview shown on this film was quite funny, but after seeing what he had to do to the dog to relax him, the audience will be laughing. This dog was definitely going to have to take some human-like meds to keep him from damaging everything around him, which will leave you in a kind of “I KNEW IT” feeling when Lulu takes off sprinting away from Briggs and find yourself on a marijuana growing field in a state of total relaxation.

After landing in traps and instead of escaping what he thought was a very bad man, Lulu befriends the farmer and his wife. It was hilarious when the farmer saw how willing Briggs was to save the dog. The farmer asked “tell me honestly, how close was I to dying?” Briggs laughed and responded with a comforting pat on the shoulder “man close enough, close enough”, as they sat around sucking on edible lollipops teaching each other a thing or two about their own way of life. . Their adventure didn’t end there, as everything that could have gone wrong, short of someone else passing away, pretty much happened on their trip to the funerals of Briggs and Lulu’s teammates.

It was amazing how quickly the relationship between dog and owner was built. The dog had been through some serious trouble and you could see that, but so was Briggs at the time. Briggs wasn’t just taking care of Lulu, but the dog was taking care of him in his own way. Not being able to see his own daughter kind of gave him a little outlet whenever he thought about his daughter he wasn’t allowed to see offended. So, in a way, Lulu was his daughter. In the end, he made the difficult decision not to walk away from Lulu and do everything he could to build a stronger relationship with her, understand all of her needs, and how to handle such a troubled little woman. “Dog” was an exceptional film, and is in theaters now if you want to check it out.
