Toronto man advertising nanny services arrested for multiple sexual assaults


Toronto police fear there will be more victims after a man who advertises nanny services online was charged after several people, including children, were sexually assaulted.

A sexual assault alert was issued by police on October 19.

Police were called to a hotel in the Front Street and York Street area with reports of sexual assault between October 1 and October 2. Police say a man entered the property and sexually assaulted several people.

At 10:20 a.m. on October 12, police were called with a reported sexual assault at the island’s ferry terminal. A man standing at the entrance to the terminal was approached and sexually assaulted by a stranger on a bicycle, police said.

Prasanna Mondal, 24, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with sexual assault. He appeared in court on October 13.

At 3:46 p.m. on October 14, police were called in about a suspicious incident at a Toronto Island day care center on Algonquin Island. Police say a man sexually assaulted several children outside of the daycare.

Mondal advertises nanny services on the website, police said, and investigators fear there are more victims.
