Amazon Premier and Blumhouse team up to bring us the Sundance Award-winning horror film, Nannyand today we got our first look with the release of the film’s trailer – which you can check out below.
A synopsis for the film reads:
In this psychological horror fable, Aisha, a recent emigrant from Senegal, is hired to care for the daughter of a wealthy couple living in New York. Haunted by the absence of the young son she left behind, Aisha hopes her new job will give her the chance to bring him to the United States, but becomes increasingly disturbed by the family’s unstable home life. . As her arrival nears, a violent presence begins to invade both her dreams and her reality, threatening the American Dream she is painstakingly piecing together.

The film is directed by Nikyatu Jusu, who spoke about his excitement for teaming up with Amazon and Blumhouse:

Coupled with Blumhouse’s recognition in the world of the genre, horror in particular, I’m thrilled to be in the warm embrace of a team at the intersection of bold content and indie cinematic sensibilities. Nanny will hit theaters on November 23, 2022 before debuting on Amazon Prime on December 16, 2022.
