Deadline reports that Nikyatu Jusu and LaToya Morgan are set to direct and write the new project respectively, with Romero’s Sanibel Films also involved. Village Roadshow and FilmNation are co-representing the project at the upcoming US Film Market, and we can see this one skyrocketing pretty quickly, meaning we’ll soon know how big to expect. Although no casting has yet been announced, this creative team of Jusu and Morgan is already convincing: Morgan worked on The walking dead, while Jusu is coming Nanny won the Sundance Grand Jury Prize earlier this year.
