KATHY HUMISTON
Kathy Spotts Humiston, 66 from Beech Creek, returned home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 27, 2021. Kathy was born in Altoona, Pa. On June 15, 1955 to the late Lester and Helen Rudasill.
After graduating from Altoona Area High School, Kathy moved to the Lock Haven area and then began working in the offices of the Uni-Mart company for almost ten years.
Kathy began her career in insurance and investment planning when she partnered with her late husband, Ron, serving hundreds of clients for almost 40 years through RS Associates, a company that ‘she continued in partnership with her current husband, Kevin, until his death.
Kathy was a member of the Blanchard Church of Christ where she served as secretary and, more recently, minister.
She has led many ministries during her years of service including King’s Kids and as co-director of Blanchard Church of Christ’s annual Easter drama. She cared passionately for the members of her congregation, delivering the news of the gospel and being the hands and feet of Jesus. She has been an important mentor to many young people and women in the church during her more than 30 years as a member.
When Kathy was not faithfully serving her church, she enjoyed spending time with her family the most, including trips to see her grandchildren in Florida.
Kathy was a dedicated, loving, caring and selfless wife, mother, sister and nanny. His love for his family was second to none. Even for those who were not her family, she treated them as such. She will be remembered for her Christlike love for everyone she has met.
Kathy was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Spotts, of Beech Creek, Pennsylvania.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin Humiston; one brother, John Rudasill (Linda), of Altoona; her son, Markus Spotts (Naomi), of Boca Raton, Florida; his sons-in-law, Cory Spotts (Jayne), of Mill Hall, and Erich Spotts of Loganton.
She is also survived by four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
A visit will take place at the Church of Christ Blanchard on Saturday, January 1, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Masks will be required during the queue and during family visits.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ Blanchard Church on Sunday January 2 at 2 p.m. and will be chaired by Reverend Dr. Russel Moldovan. Masks are strongly encouraged during this service.
A private burial in the Hays-Fearon-Bossert cemetery will take place for the family.
