Nannythe film, which won the Grand Jury Prize in the American Drama Competition at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, has released its trailer ahead of its release later this year.
movie stars Titans actress Anna Diop as Aisha, an undocumented woman from Senegal who takes a job as a nanny for a wealthy white family in hopes that she can raise enough money to bring her son with her.
But, over time, she begins to see a “violent presence” in her dreams and in mirrors. Is there something really haunting her, or is paranoia and the stress of her situation taking its toll?

Following its premiere and rave reviews at the Sundance Film Festival in January, the film was at the center of a bidding war between various distributors, with Amazon Studios and Blumhouse joining forces to secure the rights.
The plan is to release the film in cinemas in November after a screening at the Toronto International Film Festival this month, followed by a release on Prime Video for subscribers to stream later in December.
In response to the announcement of the trailer release and release date, Diop tweeted: “Nanny hits theaters November 23! Happy with this news.”

Nikyatu Jusu, who is making her directorial debut, also tweeted about the announcementswriting, “Grateful for the creative freedom we’ve been gifted with every step of this process – from the start of our big, little movie that could.”
Meanwhile, Titans was announced for a fourth season, which may have come as a surprise considering all of DC’s superhero projects that were canceled following the Warner Bros. and Discovery merger.
Nanny hits theaters November 23 for a limited time, and will be available on Amazon Prime Video starting December 16.
