Alice Kysar (Logie) of Easton, Maryland passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2022, at the age of 88.

Alice was born in Stuart, Nebraska to James and Lucie Logie. She attended schools in Bassett and St. Paul, Nebraska, then graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1956. After leaving Nebraska in 1957, she lived in Chicago IL, Nashville TN, Nashua NH, Leesburg VA and finally Easton MD.

Alice taught public school music and English classes in Nebraska, then worked as a dental assistant in Nebraska and Tennessee. In Nashville, she then worked at the Metropolitan Health Department and as a disability examiner for Social Security, retiring in 1999.

She was a member of St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in Nashville where she served on the Diocesan Task Force for Disability Issues for many years and was active in many community volunteer activities. In Nashua, NH, she was a member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church.

She is survived by her brother James (wife Robin) of Orlando FL, her son Jeffrey and daughter Amy (husband John) of Easton MD, her beloved grandchildren Paul (wife Mireille), Andrew and Hillary ( husband Nick), her great-grandson Jack, great-granddaughters Wynn and Caroline, as well as several cherished nieces and nephews.

“Nanny” as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren knew her, we will miss her dearly and remember her fondly.
